A Dedicated Brick Mason With Over 13 Years of Experience

Born in California but raised in Oregon, Jared has been surrounded by brick masons his entire life. His father, Rich Rasmussen, started Rasmussen Masonry in 2002. And Jared hopped on board during high school, over 13 years ago.

Since then, Jared has gained experience in every aspect of masonry work, including both residential and commercial builds. To Jared, there’s nothing quite like building things from the ground up. In his words, “It’s pretty cool to see a project through from flat dirt to completed structure.”

Jared’s responsibilities include planning and running specific masonry projects on behalf of the company. For projects he isn’t responsible for, he still offers a helping hand, always willing to step in to provide support or arrange materials.

Keeping It in the Family

After Jared graduated from high school, he attended the University of Oregon where he completed his undergrad in psychology. He then came back and worked within the family business for another year and then went on to receive his MBA.

At first, Jared thought working with his father in this business would be the easy route—one he didn’t want to take at first. However, he soon got to know the business side of things and was drawn back to masonry. After graduating with his MBA, he returned full-time and hasn’t stopped since.

A Business-Savvy Leader Focused on Company Growth

Ever since Jared started his journey into masonry 13 years ago, he has been committed to treating the business as if it were his own. He started at the bottom and has since earned his way to the top through his hard work, dedication and business smarts.

Over the past few years, Jared has been integral in our effort to grow our business. He has assisted Owner and President Rich Rasmussen in entering new job markets, including public work. Now, Rasmussen Masonry Jared has been a part of some of the largest builds in our area, including Caldera High School in Bend, Oregon, a 270,000-square-foot build.

Rasmussen Masonry:
Building Much More Than High-Quality Structures

According to Jared, one of the things that makes Rasmussen Masonry different is our dedication to building relationships with our employees and our contractors. “We’ve been able to maintain the same general contractors for over 20 years. That’s quite an accomplishment to create relationships that last that long.”

Jared is proud to work in a company where relationships are not only valued but sought after. From ensuring employee safety to always being willing to help other contractors in our area, treating others with respect and care is something Rasmussen Masonry does well.

In his spare time, Jared enjoys spending time in the Oregon outdoors fishing, hunting and golfing.
